9 Different awards all suspensions:
DENIED. Grievant had a duty to report what he heard involving an incident between an inmate and a Sergeant. Because Grievant was a long-time employee with no previous discipline, however, the one (1)-day suspension shall be removed from his record after one (1)-year.
MODIFIED. Grievant was found only to have violated rule 8 (failure to carry out work assignment or poor judgment). Fifteen (15)-day suspension reduced to a written warning for failure to follow post orders.
MODIFIED. Grievant's role in the matter was a proper use of force, but Grievant nonetheless violated Rule 24 by withholding another CO's presence. Fifteen (15)-day suspension reduced to ten (10) days.
MODIFIED. Grievant violated rule 24, but the fifteen (15)-day suspension seemed out of line for a first violation. Reduced to a ten (10)-day suspension.
DENIED. Grievant's remarks made to a fellow officer in front of inmates were inappropriate and warranted the two (2)-day suspension.
DENIED. Employer had just cause to suspend Grievant five (5) days for giving a favor to an inmate.

Modified: Suspension is reduced to written warning and grievant will receive back pay.
