Grievance DENIED. The Grievant was removed for being convicted for shoplifting while on his lunch break and using a state vehicle to "get away" from the store where the crime occurred. The Arbitrator felt that nexus had been established because of the theft and the fact that he used a state vehicle to get away. The Arbitrator also felt that the Employer had just cause to remove the Grievant based on the severity of the offense.
