AWARD: 0603 In the summer of 1990 officials of the Division of Parks and Recreation wereì aware of reports of the possibility that several bodies were buried on theì grounds of Punderoom State Park. When digging began in the fall of 1990, aì Park Maintenance Supervisor 1 from a different park was called in toì participate in the search. Grievants, a number of Park Officers at the parkì from which the Maintenance Supervisor 1 worked felt that this was a violationì of Section 7.03 of the bargaining agreement and was not an emergency.ì Management maintained that due to the publicity and public concern, itì quickly became an emergency and they acted accordingly. The arbitrator foundì that the circumstances were indeed an emergency situation and Managementì acted within their rights. No violation of Section 7.03 occured. Grievanceì denied.
